What's up WhatsApp? Status error continues

BANGALORE, INDIA: An error in the popular messaging service WhatsApp has affected thousands of users worldwide. After over 20 hours, many users of WhatsApp still have the error message, "Error: Status Unavailable" and WhatsApp continues to say that it is working on it.

When the CIOL team checked in the morning, it found that the app was working fine without any glitch. However, when the same was checked later in the day, the team noticed that every contact on WhatsApp had the same status message: "Error: Status Unavailable".

Though the only information given by the company is that they are working to solve the problem, it is evident that the global failure resulted in the serious glitch.

CIOL reader Valentine from the UK said, "I am really disappointed that WhatsApp hasn't moved quickly to release some sort of official response because I am sick of all these annoying hoax messages." "I have over 200 contacts on WhatsApp and so far I have received over 80 of this silly message, am I need to expect 120 more? Come on, just send an official message," added Valentine.

Looking at the enormity of the user database of WhatsApp application, it is surprising not to see a single announcement from the WhatsApp team except a Twitter post.
