WeP Chairman joins Krone board

BANGALORE: Indian printing service provider, WeP Peripherals’ Chairman, Arun Thiagarajan has joined the board of Krone Communications as an independent director. He was also the president of Hewlett Packard operations in India, prior to the mega merger with Compaq Computers.



Krone Communications Ltd, a wholly owned subsidiary of Krone GMBH, Germany, and a leading network cable and connectivity supplier, providing high-performance network solutions for voice and data communication applications today announced the appointment of Arun Thiagarajan, as an independent director on the company’s board.



Thiagarajan did his higher education in Sweden. In India, he has headed Flakt India and Asea Ltd before becoming the Managing Director and India head of ABB India during which period the company took major strides. He also served as the Vice Chairman of Wipro in 1999 and finally as the President of Hewlett Packard in India. He is presently Chairman of WeP Peripherals Ltd, and sits on the boards of several corporations. He has served the CII as the chairman of the southern region and on several committees related to technology, IT and quality. He has also attended the Advanced Management Programme at the Harvard Business School.



As an industry professional with wide experience in manufacturing and IT businesses, Krone will have an excellent opportunity to draw on his knowledge and expertise.
