NEW DELHI: Websense, Inc. and Sun Microsystems Inc. have announced the availability of Websense version 6.1, the latest version of this web security and web filtering software with the Sun Java System Web Proxy Server 4.0.
New features of Websense v6.1 offer robust security and Internet policy enforcement for Sun customers at the Internet gateway, on the network, at the desktop, and for the remote web-enabled employee.
Sun Java System Web Proxy Server is high-performance server software for caching and filtering Web content for enterprise customers and Internet Service Providers (ISPs). Websense Enterprise v6.1, integrates with Sun's Web Proxy Server to enhance network security by providing IT administrators with the ability to effectively manage internet traffic and report on all network activity.

New capabilities of Websense v6.1 include enhanced real-time security updates, email and onscreen alerting of activities outside established policy parameters, and the ability to more easily customize certain filtering options. New web-based user interfaces for the central management console deliver greater ease-of-use and deployment flexibility, while enhanced reporting features address the privacy and reporting requirements of today's regulatory environment.
