INDORE, INDIA: Webdunia has launched online classifieds in nine Indian languages. The totally free service lets users to post a classified ad in a language of their own choice.
Users have the option to post an advertisement and receive responses on the email, phone or even by post.
"Webdunia continues to launch new initiatives to meet the emerging needs of netizens in the Indian languages. This is first of the several special services to be offered this quarter," according to Pankaj Jain, COO, Webdunia.
Users also have the option of searching ads from 500 cities in 30 states. Selected classifieds from Webdunia will be published in Hindi daily Nai Dunia.
Webdunia also announced that its e-mail service now has a built-in ease of input in nine regional languages - Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Oriya, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu.
One does not require language keyboard or language software to send e-mails in these languages. Webdunia migrated to Unicode resulting in the accessibility of all nine portals on virtually any computer without downloading the language fonts.
