According to an alert issued by Websense Security Labs, these sites attempt to infect users seeking more information about the event.

The activity, said Websense, is similar to past news events, where attackers used malicious sites containing information about the event to infect visitors.

The first infected site found by Websense Security Labs was the second result in a Google search using a generic and simple keyword. Clicking on the link did not generate any warning from Google, said Websense, which also claimed that Websense Security customers are protected from the threat.

Bhutto died on Thursday succumbing to gunshots and a subsequent suicide bombing that occurred after she finished an election rally in Rawalpindi.
