BANGALORE: Australia-based web-filtering solution provider ContentKeeper Technologies has entered the Indian market through a tie up with Bangalore based Logix Microsystems. The partnership is purely a vendor-distributor agreement between the two companies allowing Logix to supply, commission and provide after sales support of the product to ContentKeeper’s customers in India.

The company’s flagship web-filtering product, ContentKeeper (same as the company) is the second-generation web-filtering technology available as an appliance or installable software and is designed to assist organisations for better management of their user access to Internet resources.

ContentKeeper Technologies, Managing Director and co-founder, David Wigley, said,"ContentKeeper allows organisations to manage, monitor and control user access to Internet resources. In today’s scenario organisations would like to be increasingly guarded against loss of employee productivity, bandwidth, and helps minimize legal issues, reduce virus vulnerabilities as well. Net Abuse and cyber slacking is becoming an important concern to be dealt with, but while doing so care is taken not to stifle users productive work environment. After all the net is still an important source for knowledge and opportunity".

The ContentKeeper system allows organisations to develop and enforce their own Internet acceptable use policies. It monitors non-business related web surfing and file downloads. The software controls pornographic and illegal Internet content entering the work place by blocking, coaching and authentication. All this is done without having to disrupt the existing network configuration, which is a blessing to system administrators.

ContentKeeper utilizes both the control list containing millions of categorized Internet URLs (web-pages) and the latest in real time blocking, analysis and classification engine to catch new and previously unseen sites. It automatically updates its control list on an hourly basis, delivered by a ContentKeeper’s "TrickleFeed" technology. Any filtering system that updates nightly, weekly, or fortnightly will be totally ineffective against the URL Hyperlinks which are probably arriving right now via e-mail within your organization.

ContentKeeper uses US patent pending "Closed Loop Collaborative filtering" technology that ensures that ContentKeeper is superior in its ability to manage and control access in the rapidly changing Internet world. The ContentKeeper data centre receives control list updates of newly discovered and processed URLs.

During this process, any new suspect URLs discovered locally, are encoded, encrypted, compressed and sent back to the Datacentre for anonymous submission to the Artificial Intelligence analysis and categorization engines.

ContentKeeper is also scalable and is informed to handle sites from 25 users up to thousands of users. The system is designed to accommodate high volume, fault-tolerant, high availability, load-balanced environments as well as small office or school sites.

Beneficiaries of ContentKeeper would be any industry or Company that use Internet extensively for education, knowledge and business. In particular this would include Software Application and Architecture Industry, Telecom Industry, Finance, Auto Industries, Manufacturing, FMCG, Pharma and Education Institutes. ContentKeeper is available at subsidized prices for education institutes.
