'Wave' a message with the new Nokia

BANGALORE: Nokia, a leading handset manufacturer has announced the launch of the trendy Nokia 3220 camera phone. With visual flashing lights, the Nokia 3220 is targeted at the youth and priced at Rs 12,169. A funky new optional feature of this Nokia 3220 handset is its wave messaging capabilities that allows users to a flash short text or graphic image visually.



In line with its positioning, the Nokia 3220 offers users a range of lifestyle enhancing features such as built-in VGA camera, transparent Nokia Xpress-On grips, styled cut-out covers and mobile themes which make personalizing simple and fun, according to a press release.



Elaborating on the Nokia 3220 features, Sanjeev Sharma, MD, Nokia Customer and Market Operations, India said, "From the company that pioneered text messaging, picture messaging, multimedia messaging now comes a new innovation of wave light messaging. The Nokia 3320 phone is ideal for today's youth and provides value-added lifestyle enhancing features at an affordable price, states the release.



The Nokia 3220 is a tri-band with an inbuilt VGA camera phone available in three versions GSM 900/1800/1900. The phone also has a joystick in the games that complement the Nokia Xpress-On Fun Shell, tilting the phone to move characters through a series of challenges and tests. The two motion games that include in the handset are SwampRacer, a high-octane airboat racing game and AirExpress, where one can fly around freely on an exotic archipelago world.
