BANAGALORE, INDIA: This is a rarest of rare events and also your last chance to view planet Venus from close quarters. If you miss viewing Venus, then you will have to wait for another 105 years (until 2117) to watch the event again. High hopes?

Well, you could be wondering what this event is all about. Well, it is a rare celestial occurrence, in which Venus crosses the face of the Sun. This phenomenon is termed as the Venus Transit.

It lasts for nearly seven hours and will be visible from various countries of the world. Since the Venus Transit is visible in India, you can view the event from close quarters across the country as well.

Catch the Venus Transit on Wednesday, June 6, at the following time and in the following cities of India:

In New Delhi, Allahabad, Patna, Agra, Kolkata, Lucknow, and Kanpur at 7 am.

In Bangalore, Coimbatore, Madurai, Hyderabad, Mumbai, Pune, Ahmedabad, Indore, Chennai and Jaipur at 7.01 am.

Always remember to use solar filter/solar glasses, while viewing celestial events and occurrences.
