BANGALORE: VXL Instruments is to

aggressively focus on the global thin client market with its range of thin

client products in the coming months. The company which has a substantial

presence in US, UK and Australia for its thin client products is aiming to

improve its presence in the South-East Asian, middle-east and the South African

markets where it is tying up with local distributors to make an inroad into the

respective markets.

Subsequently through its initiatives, the company is expecting an improvement in its global market share in Thin Clients to 5% in the next three years. According to Srinivas Raghavan, Marketing Manager International Sales, VXL Instruments, the company is also planning to expand its presence in Srilanka for its thin client products, "With the opening of the Jaffna route recently we would be able to make inroads in the northern part of the country also. We already have distributors in Srilanka and we also plan to add on a few more to further expand our business there", he added.

"In South-East Asian countries particularly Singapore and Philippines we face stiff competition and to market our products, there we carry extensive product demonstrations for our distributors. We hope to substantially increase our market share in this region", said Raghavan.

But despite this the main focus of the company is to grow in the US and UK as they form the major share of the thin client market. In these countries apart from having its offices the company has also tied up with value added distributors and channel partners to market its products. Seeing the potential for thin client products in Australia the company had also set up its office at Sydney and is in the process of further expanding its operations there.

Apart from this, the company also has eyes on expanding substantially in China, Korea and the countries of the Middle East in the near future. VXL Instruments, which is one of the few indigenous hardware manufacturers of Bangalore, is into exports as well as the domestic market. In the domestic market also the company’s thin line products have a substantial share. The company also received the "Excellence in Hardware Export" Award this year.
