BANGALORE: Videsh Sanchar Nigam Limited (VSNL) has announced
an interim dividend of 60 per cent to its shareholders. According to a release,
the interim dividend would be paid to the shareholders as on the last date of
book closure, which is April 29, 2000.
VSNL, India’s international telecom service provider will
be paying Rs 57 crore to its shareholders by way of interim dividend. This is
the first year when VSNL is declaring an interim dividend. It had declared a
dividend of 80 per cent in 1998-99 against 40 per cent paid in 1997-98.
