Vordel will support the Cloud Security Alliance’s initiatives by working closely with other members to address the key security, interoperability, monitoring and performance challenges related to the enterprise adoption of Cloud Computing. Over the past 8 years Vordel has consolidated its position as the premier provider of high performance hardware and software products to govern SOA-based applications, it adds in a press release.

Dave Cullinane Chairman at Cloud Security Alliance and Chief Information Security Officer at eBay said, “Cloud computing presents many exciting possibilities for enterprises but we need to encourage all security vendors to work together to provide the technology we need to secure the cloud infrastructure. We now have an opportunity to embed security right into the infrastructure and Vordel’s knowledge of managing large-scale XML and SOA environments will be of great benefit to the Cloud Security Alliance advisory groups.”

In Q4 2009, the company announced Vordel Cloud Service Broker, a product which connects internal applications to the Cloud. Vordel Cloud Service Broker connects on-premises applications to Cloud services such as Force.com and Amazon Web Services, with security, monitoring, and control. The company is running a pilot invitational program for Vordel Cloud Service Broker. Mark O’Neill, Vordel CTO, said, “Organizations can see the clear financial advantages of Cloud Computing on one hand, but on the other hand they see the lack of trust. At Vordel we are bringing years of expertise building high-performance SOA products to address this trust deficit and security concerns related to Cloud Computing. Vordel is excited to be involved in the Cloud Security Alliance to help shape and influence best practices.”
