The Rs 509 plan from Vodafone offers unlimited local and STD calls on any network but with a cap of 250 minutes a day and 1000 minutes a week. The unlimited calling benefits will remain unchanged even while roaming within India. The plan comes bundled with 100 free SMSes for every day. The Rs 509 plan offers 1GB FUP limit of 4G or 3G data for 84 days. That means users will get an internet connection at reduced speeds after exhausting the 1GB limit.

The Rs 458 prepaid plan also offers unlimited calling benefits with the same limit of 250 minutes per day and 1000 minutes per week as the Rs 509 plan. Additionally there is 1GB fair usage limit for 70 days. The Rs 459 plans also offer free 100 SMSes daily.

Both the prepaid plans come with a free subscription to Vodafone Play app. The new plans are seen as a competition to Reliance Jio's Rs 459 plan which offers unlimited calling and 1GB 4G data for a period of 84 days.

The two new plans by Vodafone - for the time being, are available only for select customers. However, Vodafone is likely to announce these offers to more customers in the upcoming weeks.
