Vodafone completes 10% acquisition in Bharti

MUMBAI: Bharti Tele Ventures Ltd has informed BSE that Vodafone Group Plc has announced that Vodafone group has on December 22, 2005 subscribed for convertible debentures in Bharti Enterprises Pvt Ltd representing a 4.39% indirect economic interest in the company.

The Vodafone group completed the acquisition of the 5.61% direct interest in the company from Warburg Pincus LLC on November 18, 2005. Accordingly, from November 18, 2005 Vodafone proportionately consolidated its 5.61% direct stake in the company and from December 22, 2005 will proportionately consolidate its entire 10% economics interest in the company.
