VKS Farm to flock productivity with SAP

MUMBAI, INDIA: VKS Farms Pvt Ltd, an export house for poultry, meat and agro products, recently announced used solutions from SAP AG to improve productivity, manage inventory and procurement across its five different business units in the poultry industry.

Poultry360, the SAP Business All-in-One solution developed by Intelligroup, an NTT DATA company, was implemented by Intelligroup within the time frame of nine weeks, said a press release.

With a vision to attain the status of a multi-food product company globally, VKS Farms was looking to streamline the product flow across all its business lines.  A verticalized solution approach from SAP has enabled VKS Farms to track performances across various units thereby enhancing visibility into inventory and sales transactions.

VKS Farms plans to build a successful business model to support its vision of “Farming to the World,” and bring opportunities to rural India.

The SAP ERP Central Component (SAP ECC 6.0) component would allow departments including finance and costing, procurement, breeder, hatcheries, broilers, processed meat and others align under one common platform, thereby increasing efficiency and better product delivery for customers globally.
