Vivek Tyagi is Freescale's new country manager

BANGALORE, INDIA: Freescale Semiconductor today announced the appointment of Vivek Tyagi as country manager - Sales for its India operations. In this role, Vivek Tyagi will lead the India sales team to drive business growth in the country, said a press release.

“Vivek is an industry veteran and brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our team. India offers great market potential and we believe that Vivek’s understanding of the business will be invaluable to Freescale and help us deepen our customer relationships,” said Ganesh Guruswamy, VP and country manager, Freescale Semiconductor India Pvt. Ltd.

Vivek has nearly two decades of experience in distribution, sales and customer relations functions. He joined Freescale Semiconductor India (earlier Motorola Semiconductor) in 1997. Until recently, he was regional sales and business development manager. In that role, Vivek was responsible for Business Development for Freescale products in embedded markets with clear focus on Networking, Automotive, Industrial and Consumer markets.

He was also leading the team of technical marketing and application engineers. Prior to Freescale, he worked with Philips Semiconductors. Vivek holds a Bachelor in Electronics and Communication Engineering from Mysore University and a PGCSM from the Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode.

Vivek Tyagi replaces Sanjeev Keskar who has been with the organization since 2004 and is leaving the company to pursue his personal interests.
