Vivek Sharma, Philips' chief marketing officer

BANGALORE, INDIA: Sharma will be responsible for the development and execution of an integrated strategy for brand development across the various business sectors.

One of the main thrust areas will be in the marketing organization capacity and capability building. He will also be responsible for translating and bringing to life the global brand promise of ‘Sense and Simplicity’.

Prior to Philips, Sharma was with Mirc Electronics Ltd. as Vice President, Marketing, and Sales. At Mirc he spearheaded the re-launch of the ONIDA brand across product categories, championing the brand’s remarkable market share growth  in the air-conditioning segment.

An industry veteran with over 19 years of experience, he has held senior leadership positions across Cadbury's, Warner Lambert and in Ogilvy & Mather Advertising as Head of Unilever business in India.
