VisualSoft profit jumps to Rs 32 cr

HYDERABAD: Hyderabad based VisualSoft Technologies Ltd, a software services provider, has registered a net profit of Rs 32.23 crore profit for the year ended March 31, 2003, as against the Rs 25.39 crore in the corresponding period last year, showing a growth of 26.93 per cent.



For the fourth quarter ended March 31, 2003, the company recorded a net profit of Rs 8.42 crore as against the Rs 6.43 crore in the same quarter last year, showing a growth of 30.91 per cent. Total income for the fourth quarter also increased by 24.49 per cent from Rs 27.54 crore to Rs 34.28 crore.



The company has given a guidance of 20 percent topline growth for the year 2003-04.



The company has added five new customer during the fourth quarter and 20 clients during the last year, said DVS Raju, CMD of VisualSoft adding that currently the company has about 60 active clients.



The business process outsourcing operations of the company will begin during the current year and it is in talks with at least three existing customer for the BPO operations, he said. "We are going to focus on offering transaction processing services for our BPO unit," he added.



The company has added 92 people during the last year taking the total employee strength to 634. It plans to add another 100 people during the current financial year.
