According to Raju, the company is expecting to recover its investment in the coming 15 months and ramp up to 350 people. The 500 seat capacity facility is going operational with one strategic relationship. The road map includes multiple processes including transaction processing, help desk, tech support, market research etc., which will be moved to Visual Soft Interactions in phases.

Expressing inability to divulge further details due to non-disclosure agreement Raju said, their US-based customer has a capacity of 7,000 seats and operates out of Canada and US. "The possibility of a joint venture between the two also exists once this BPO division gains critical mass," he added.

Visual Soft Technologies has grown to 850 people and continues to add an average of 100 every quarter. The company forayed into BPO in fiscal 2004 and is also working towards a facility in Vizag where an investment of Rs15 crore has been made so far.

However, the company is going slow on its Vizag BPO outfit. "We are waiting for the outsourcing backlash to calm down and have slowed down considerably," explained Raju. The facility was being built for an US-based client and claims processing were to be the primary activity.
