Virtual environments and SMBs

FAIRFAX, USA: Evolve Technologies, a company that specializes in providing computer networking and information technology (IT) solutions for small to medium-size businesses, and a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner, announced today that its CEO, Dave Sobel, will speak at the SMB Pre-day, on September 4, 2008, Chicago on topic “Designing, implementing, and making money with virtual environments,” for attending SMB consultants.

The SMB Pre-day, a seminar series taking place at the Hyatt Lodge in Chicago, will serve as a precursor to the MSP Revolution Conference, which will also be held at the Hyatt Lodge from September 4-7.

The SMB Pre-day is a free community resource for service providers developed and maintained by SMBBooks.com and Great Little Book Publishing Co., Inc. At the event, SMB professionals will have a chance to learn about building and managing their own virtual environments as well as the future of virtualization as a growing industry in the technology marketplace. Furthermore, the event offers important networking opportunities for IT experts and industry specialists.

Sobel’s presentation, alongside Karl W. Palachuk, President of KPEnterprises Business Consulting, Inc. and Great Little Publishing Co., Inc., will focus on implementing virtualization, specifically Microsoft’s Windows Server 2008 Hyper-V-technology. Topics covered will include designing, implementing and managing a virtual environment. In addition, information will be presented about right-sizing hardware, licensing scenarios, hosted machines, instant backups and fast implementations.
