Virgin Mobile unveils USB modem device, vFlash

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Virgin Mobile announced the launch of its hi-speed USB modem device - vFlash. It’s a portable, plug and play device that offers surfing speed of up to 3.1 Mbps and 8GB storage.

The vFlash somes at Rs. 3499 and the service would be of options ranging from Rs.250- Rs.1100/- per month. In addition, users would be also able to subscribe to special night plans and annual rental plans soon.

M A Madhusudan, CEO, Virgin Mobile India, said: ";Today, the youth wants to stay connected 24/7 and with the launch of vFlash, we aim to put the surfing experience at their fingertips. With the rise of Internet penetration in India, the data segment furnishes a stupendous opportunity allowing the customers to always stay connected.”

Deval Parikh, chief officer, Handset, VAS & Procurement, Virgin Mobile India, said, “As an introductory promo, we are offering the device at a hard-to-resist 30-day zero rental and vFlash live TV for the first 30 days for all customers acquired till 31st Jan’10. We are also offering our 'on demand' services for all customers acquired till 31st March 2010."
