Virage Logic sets up Dutch firm

NEW YORK, USA: The United Kingdom-based Virage Logic Corporation has set up a Dutch corporation in association with its new research and development centre of excellence in Eindhoven, the Netherlands.

Virage Logic Corporation’s research and development centre in Eindhoven will develop products based on the intellectual property that Virage Logic bought recently from the leading semiconductor company NXP. In addition, Virage Logic will give ongoing support to NXP.

In a statement, Virage Logic Corporation said the company has named Joshua Rom as the managing director of its Netherlands B.V. business as well as the general manager of Virage Logic’s new Analog Business Unit.

Joshua Rom, a veteran with an experience of 30 years in the industry, was vice-president of operations at Ikanos Communications and also director of engineering at Broadcom Corporation.

According to Virage Logic Corporation, Joshua Rom, also has held several positions at Silicon Light Machines, MMC Networks, and Adaptec and WaferScale Integration (WSI).
