Viom Networks appoints Sudhir Prasad as new COO

With focus on innovation and operational excellence, Viom Networks strengthens its leadership team and appointed Sudhir Prasad as new Chief Operating Officer (COO). In addition, the company also named Ravi Badwal as the head of the Emerging Business and Rochak Kapur as the chief of Integrated Data Solutions.

Viom CEO Syed Safawi said that from asset growth, they had entered a phase of asset-based management and the next stage would be about knowledge management. "Our three-pronged strategy aims at becoming an innovative telecom infrastructure solutions provider that sets benchmarks in operational excellence and becomes the industry leader in profitability," he added.

"With our vision and strategy clearly defined, we are particularly pleased to have Sudhir Prasad join our leadership team as the COO to focus on driving operational excellence," Safawi said. He also said that Viom Networks had undergone a significant transformation in one of the most challenging times during the telecommunications industry.

Prasad has over two decades of industry experience in corporate finance, business strategy and project management. Prior to joining Viom, he was the Chief Executive Officer of Tower Vision, and had been associated with Siemens AG, RPG Group and Jaiprakash Industries. Prasad holds a Masters degree in Business Management from the Indian Institute of Management (Ahmedabad, India).
