Viom to file for up to $1.5 bn IPO in Q1

MUMBAI, INDIA: India's Viom Networks, a telecom infrastructure company, is expected to file a draft prospectus for its up to $1.5 billion initial public offering in the first quarter of 2011, two sources with direct knowledge said on Tuesday.

The company, a joint venture between India's Tata Tele and Quippo Telecom, has shortlisted Citibank, Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley and India's IDFC Capital for the issue, the sources said.

The sources declined to be named as they are not allowed to speak to the media. A spokesman for Viom Networks was not immediately available for comment.
