Vinod Ganesan is HDS regional sales director

BANGALORE, INDIA: Hitachi Data Systems Corporation today announced the appointment of Vinod Ganesan as regional sales director for Western India.

His high skilled expertise in driving the sales strategy in the banking vertical and establishing multi-million dollar deals in this fast growing industry segment will build a stronger foothold for the company in the BFSI segment, said a press release.

He will replace Srikant Chakrapani who was the acting western region sales director. He would also be responsible for the company’s overall business growth and will lead the Enterprise, Mid-Market and SMB verticals for the region.

Vivekanand Venugopal, vice president and general manager, India, Hitachi Data Systems said, "Vinod will be responsible for driving the regional sales and expand our market coverage from Key Account Strategy to a fully regionalized Sales Organization.”

Popularly known in the industry as “VG”, Vinod joins Hitachi Data Systems after a successful 51/2 years campaign with Sun Microsystems. He has more than 15 years of sales experience in the IT industry.
