Videocon may launch 7 inch Android tablet

BANGALORE, INDIA: With the series of launches of Android-powered tablets pc in India, now Indian-owned company Videocon is set to join the team of big players.

According to a report at Androidos.in, Videocon is planning to launch a seven inch Android tablet in next month.

"There are no details on this tablet apart from the fact that it will be running on Android 2.3. It is likely to be an OEM device from China, which will be re-branded by Videocon," quoted Androidos.in

Videocon had entered to Indian Android market by launching Videocon Zeus, which is powered by Android 2.1 (Éclair) operating system.
