MUMBAI, INDIA: Vicstock Grain, an agribusiness company that exports grain from its Albany port in Western Australia, has upgraded its agriculture supply chain management system.

Vicstock’s Albany port is Western Australia’s most strategic location for the export of cereal grains and oilseeds, with proximity to farms and a natural harbor. The facility also has extensive capabilities for bulk handling storage. To maximize throughput and efficiency throughout the agriculture supply chain, Vicstock wanted to use the latest technology solution.

The company selected Eka Software’s Eka’s InSight CM—Site Automation Control software to manage resources at its agricultural grain handling and export facilities. The software comprises a comprehensive reporting and analytics tool and provides real-time visibility into operations, productivity, equipment usage, tonnes passed over equipment, run hours, inventory, quality data, and maintenance and delay accounting, thereby providing accuracy in inventory and reducing operating costs.

“The largest and most efficient bulk commodity companies in the world use our trading, risk management, and bulk handling software to manage trading and bulk handling operations," said Wah Chu, Vice President, Global Services & Support, Eka. “Four out of the top five agricultural traders are Eka customers, including Bunge, Cargill, Glencore, and Louis Dreyfus. I am pleased to welcome Vicstock Grain as a new customer."
