Fast, dependable and secure Internet access has become the lifeblood for businesses of all sizes. But as small and medium-sized businesses see their requirements change, they're sometimes put off by the cost and complexity of enterprise-class Internet access solutions.
The new Verizon Managed Router Solution provides SMBs with a complete and secure turnkey Internet access solution that combines Verizon Business access with customer premises equipment from Cisco, said a press release.
The solution provides secure dedicated Internet access at speeds ranging from 1.5-megabits-per-second T1 to 50-megabits-per-second Ethernet coupled with proactive monitoring and premium maintenance and installation services.
It enables SMB customers to take advantage of leading Internet access technology that is backed and supported by Verizon Business networking experts.
"Fast and dependable, always-on Internet access is becoming as crucial for SMBs as it is for large enterprises, but many don't have the expertise or staff to ensure reliable connectivity," said Carrie Gray, executive director, SMB marketing for Verizon Business.
Gray further said that With their new managed router solution, small and mid-size customers can concentrate on running their businesses without having to worry about the technical details.
In addition to premises equipment, which includes the Cisco 1800 Series Integrated Services Routers, Cisco 500 Series Secure Routers and Cisco 800 Series Routers, the new solution features configuration and onsite installation; 24 x 7 monitoring and management; Cisco maintenance and software support; built-in managed firewall; intrusion prevention; and next-day repair, added the release.
