Verizon enterprise solns strengthens enterprise-grade cloud offer

BANGALORE, INDIA: John Stratton, president of Verizon Enterprise Solutions, has named Siki Giunta to lead the unit's global cloud practice.

In her new role, Giunta is responsible for Verizon's end-to-end global cloud ecosystem, as well as technology convergence and connected solutions through the company's wireline and wireless networks. She leads a global team of cloud and data center professionals to bring the new Verizon Cloud to market, ensuring clients can harness this enterprise-class platform to unlock the value of their data, and access it where and when they need it.

Stratton noted: "Siki's passion for innovation and her broad technology-development background will be a great asset for corporations and government organizations looking to harness enterprise-class cloud services from Verizon. Our cloud, data center and connected solutions portfolio is a major focus for the business, and Siki's leadership and global outlook will help us stay ahead of this fast-changing environment."

Giunta brings to Verizon more than 20 years of international operations, sales and marketing experience in the cloud and emerging technology sectors. Most recently, she led CSC's global cloud business; previously she served as CEO for both Fortisphere and Managed Objects. She has been on leadership teams of Novell, OS/390, CA and Synapse Corp.
