Verizon brings the full power and functionality of enterprise-class technology to the cloud while providing clients flexibility and control over their cloud environment. The company is developing an ecosystem of enterprise technologies that are designed to run on Verizon's Infrastructure as a Service platform.

According to John Harrobin, chief marketing officer, Verizon Enterprise Solutions: "Verizon is working with best-in-class technology companies to develop an ecosystem of enterprise-level, cloud-based services. SAP is a market leader and provides many of the applications that power the world's largest organizations. Verizon is an enterprise cloud leader and the infrastructure of choice for many of those same customers. Providing SAP HANA is a natural evolution for us as we continue to deliver high-performing, secure and scalable cloud architecture to our clients."

SAP HANA is at the core of SAP's cloud vision and momentum, helping companies scale to new innovation and IT simplification levels. SAP HANA was introduced to the market two years ago and has since gained more than 3,000 customers.

"As cloud computing trends upward in our industry, our ecosystem will play an even more important role in our overall strategy and vision for offering a complete portfolio of cloud solutions," said Bob Grazioli, global head, Cloud Ecosystem, SAP. "Through collaboration with leading companies such as Verizon, we intend to provide our customers with even more choices to run applications developed on SAP HANA. We expect that our partners' cloud offerings will be able to offer SAP customers the world-class service and innovation they have come to expect from SAP."

Verizon Cloud, announced in October 2013 and currently in beta, provides clients with performance, flexibility and control in their cloud environment. Companies interested in learning more about Verizon's cloud infrastructure can visit the Verizon Enterprise Solutions website.
