Veritas to hold user conference in Mumbai

MUMBAI: Veritas Software is hosting this year's edition of its Vision 2004 user conference at Renaissance Hotel & Convention Centre, Mumbai. The conference aims to educate IT professionals on the key building blocks for utility computing (availability, performance and automation).

The conference will include insightful keynote speakers, educational breakout sessions, networking events and product demos from various exhibitors to underscore this year's theme, "Utility. Now." The keynote speakers for the conference will include, Mark Bregman, Chief Technology Officer and Acting Manager, Application and Service Management Group, Veritas Software, who is expected to speak on the key note theme-"Utility. Now". Robin Purohit Vice President, Market & Product Strategy, Veritas Software, will outline real-world problems faced by IT departments and demonstrate how new product innovations address these challenges. He will also show the value of product integration and discuss the strategic direction of VERITAS technology. The other keynote speaker Alvin Ow, Director, Strategic Business Solutions (Asia Pacific/Japan), Veritas Software, will address the conference on "The Utility Jones Trilogy".

The break out sessions includes discussion on key building blocks for utility computing, Availability, performance and automation. Some of the interesting topics lined up in the agenda includes, "Achieving Business Efficiency Through Infrastructure Migration and Consolidation", "Linux in the Enterprise: How to Get More Bang for the Buck" etc.

The conference will also address the concerns of small to medium sized businesses and a session is dedicated to address their storage concerns with the theme, "Simplified Management Solutions For Small and Medium Businesses".
