BANGALORE: The telecom and advance networking company, Vantel Technologies of
Hyderabad has inaugurated its corporate office and development facility in
Bangalore. The company, which already has a product development center in
Hyderabad, will soon shift its headquarters to Bangalore.
Vantel provides services and solutions for the telecom access market and
managed network services. It is planning a flurry of new product launches by
this year-end, which will include digital pair gain systems, HDSL line
concentrators, digital loop carrier systems and a SOHO router switch. The
company also has in pipeline a DSL access multiplexer, scheduled for launch
early next year. These products will be developed at its Bangalore facility.
Vantel has also set up a development center in Malaysia, which will be headed by
CEO and chairman Datuk Wira Mohamed Said Bin Mohamed Ali, who was previously
heading Malaysia Telecom.
While inaugurating the Bangalore center Vantel Technologies CEO Saragur
Srinidhi said, "Our strength at Vantel is in our considerable investment in
research and development for delivering cutting edge technologies. We want to
create intellectual property rights for our products developed in Bangalore."
Vantel started its operations in November 1999 and went public in April this
year. The company, which has around 75 professionals working for it, has
marketing offices in London, San Jose and Kuala Lumpur.
