Valuemart Info acquires Tejas Infoscripts

BANGALORE: Tejas Infoscripts Pvt Ltd. becomes a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Valuemart Info Technologies Ltd, a city-based software development and BPO company after the latter bought the remaining 26 percent shares from the promoters.

Valuemart Info had earlier bought 74 percent stake in Tejas Infoscripts. However, the promoters of Tejas will continue to manage and run the company as a subsidiary of Valuemart.

Tejas Infoscripts was promoted by first generation entrepreneurs with operational experience in BPO and IT industry. At present Tejas employs 75 people and is planning to double the strength in the next quarter.

“This will further consolidate Valuemart's position in the fast growing legal BPO segment,” said Valuemart's managing director, C K Vasudevan. “Tejas has bagged three new clients in the current quarter and is expected to achieve a turnover of $1.5 million in the fiscal 06-07”.

freeing up valuable time for attorneys to concentrate on specialized legal services Typically, services outsourced to Tejas include back office transactions, data management, E-filing and research activities.

T. Mahesh, CEO of Tejas said, “The acquisition will infuse fresh funds into Tejas to ramp up its present capacity and acquire new business.”

Valuemart is offering IT solutions using new generation patent-pending technologies such as BPM, Software Application Specification and ERP. It is also building a contemporary service platform for BPO services for banking, financial services and insurance verticals.
