UTV sets up media, broadcasting subsidiaries

MUMBAI: UTV Software Communications Ltd. said on Monday it has set up new media and broadcasting subsidiaries.

The firm's new media initiatives, including its animation business, gaming, post production and special effects, would be housed under UTV-UK, with Ronald D'Mello as chief executive officer.

UTV Broadcasting Ltd. would set up a distribution network for its new television channels while V&S Broadcasting Ltd. would launch and run lifestyle and specialty channels, the company said.
