UTStarcom wins 8th VARIndia award

NEW DELHI, INDIA: UTStarcom Inc. won the VARIndia "Most Trusted Company" award in the areas of Internet protocol TV (IPTV) and broadband.

UTStarcom received the award in presence of S N Dash, Secretary, Ministry of Heavy Industries and Shri Savitur Prasad, Secretary, Department of Information & Technology, Government of NCT of Delhi at the 8th VARIndia Starnite Awards, held here.

Vijay Yadav, MD, UTStarcom, said " India is gradually realising the potential of broadband and broadband applications like IPTV and we at UTStarcom feel extremely proud of being at the forefront of this telecom revolution.”

UTStarcom's Broadband solutions enable deployment of IP-based, high-speed Internet, voice, data and multimedia services over wireline and optical networks. It’s RollingStream end-to-end IPTV system currently supports Bharti Airtel in Delhi NCR, and with Aksh Optifibre for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) in 20 cities across India and with Aksh Optifibre for Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Ltd. (MTNL) in Delhi and Mumbai. UTStarcom has also announced IPTV deployments with United Telecoms Limited in India and with SLT in Sri Lanka.
