Traditional storage models that requie an organisation to buy discreet storage systems for eah of its sites, can be cumbersome and expensive for companies that are growing fast - purchase, support and managing can pose a sever challenge.

Utility storage is delivered using a shared infrastructure model and typically only network connections to the storage provider's data center(s). Could utility storage address some of the issues and enable companies to cut costs in terms of outlay on equipment and offer cost effective managebility by the service provider?
