UST Global CEO receives good guys award, 2013

KERALA, INDIA: UST Global, an information technology solutions and services company for Global 1000 enterprises, has announced that CEO Sajan Pillai has been awarded the Good Guys Award, 2013 by the National Women's Political Caucus (NWPC), a Washington-based multicultural, intergenerational, and multi-issue grassroots organization.

Sajan was also appreciated for his efforts as a business leader to promote equality in the workplace. The key to building a healthy pipeline of high potential leaders, and in keeping with its commitment towards workforce development, UST Global has several initiatives that help ensure equal representation and opportunities for women across its centers. A notable one is the Network of Women Ussociates (NowU). The charter for this global program is helping women within the company, and in the community to achieve their highest potential by providing access to other women in leadership roles through mentorships, as well as ensuring opportunities for learning, growth & recognition.

Globally, on an average, women make up about 25% of the IT workforce. However, the average percentage of women employees at UST Global is 30% globally and 33% in India.

UST Global has also recently unrolled its plans for providing technology training to thousands of citizens from countries such as United States, Mexico, Saudi Arabia, Greece, United Kingdom and India and has plans to make 1,00,000 engineers industry-ready over the next three years.
