USB support for Xbox 360 coming in April

NEW YORK, INDIA: Xbox Live Director of Programming Larry "Major Nelson", has confirmed that Microsoft will release a system update over Xbox LIVE for Xbox 360 that will allow USB flash drives to be used for storing profiles, game saves, demos and more, on 6 April.

Once the system update is done, one  will be able to connect USB flash drives to the console and head over to the memory section to configure new storage device.

The drive will be capable of storing up to 16 GB. The remaining space on the flash drive will be accessible by PC or Mac. USB Hard drives may work, but like flash memory, and one will only be able to use up to 16GB of space. 

Microsoft will also enhance the memory management functions, so that it will be able to have better control on what to copy or move between storage devices.

It is possible to have two devices connected to the console at a time, enabling up to 32GB of simultaneous storage.
