US co sets up R&D, BPO centers in Hyd

HYDERABAD: US-based Sirvisetti Systems Corporation, a niche player in XML and web services based enterprise business process automation solutions, has set up its R&D and BPO subsidiary - Sirvisetti Global Services Pvt Ltd (SGS), in Hyderabad.







CEO & CTO of SGS Amal Sirvisetti, who quit his job with Oracle in the year 2000 to be on his own, pegged the future of his enterprise to web services arena. He added that the subsidiary would focus on providing the best of the breed services in terms of offshore development of their products and solutions and in the areas of sales, marketing and technical support.







According to the company, launched with an investment of Rs one crore, SGS will have a headcount of 60 by March 2004. "The subsidiary will play a key role in our first expansion in Asia," said Sirvisetti outlining the growth strategy to meet the needs of its customers in North America.







While the development team of 20 at the company’s Hyderabad office is working on the next version of AutoConnector and AutoFax for Oracle, the company is taking initiatives to help develop AutoConnector by Independent Software Vendors (ISVs) for their specific applications.







According to the head of Indian operations, N Puroshotham Reddy, SGS BPO team has already bagged three clients in the documentation and legal outsourcing space. "The company’s BPO facility will also support the marketing function of the company," added Sirvisetti.







The company’s flagship product AppTalk helps develop and deploy web services application program interfaces thus offering rapid and dynamic integration of disparate enterprise applications by leveraging the existing resources of the enterprise. The company recorded a revenue of $ one million in 2002 and is aiming to triple its revenue in 2004.
