US Card company picks analytics system

CALIFORNIA, US: ParAccel, Inc., provider of ParAccel Analytic Database for data warehousing and analytics, has announced that Ceridian Stored Value Solutions, a prepaid and gift card solutions provider, has adopted the ParAccel Analytic Database (PADB) to gain insight across more than one billion transactions and hundreds of millions of cardholders annually. ParAccel allows Ceridian Stored Value Solutions to give major retailers, and other customers, faster and richer information about consumer behavior.

Ceridian Stored Value Solutions is a player in custom magnetic strip gift cards with 600 clients, including six of the 10 largest U.S. retailers as well as airlines, casinos, sports franchises and e-commerce companies, as it shares in a press release. As demand grew for greater insight into sales trends and cardholder behavior, Ceridian Stored Value Solutions was faced with making significant investments to legacy platforms in order to extract new intelligence from growing data volumes. The company instead explored new-generation advanced analytics platforms and found that ParAccel enabled them to quickly perform complex and ad hoc queries without the excessive tuning and data manipulation required by other platforms. Ceridian Stored Value Solutions selected PADB after comprehensive on-site testing and evaluation of a number of competing technologies.
