UP to contribute 15-20 per cent of Fujifilm national sales

NEW DELHI, INDIA: Fujifilm India introduced its new range of seven new models of digital cameras in the UP region.

The new range that includes multiple award winner, FinePix F200EXR, a high-end compact camera based on the EXR technology, will be available at all major consumer electronics stores, photography shops and photo channel network across 25 cities in Uttar Pradesh including Agra, Allahabad, Bahraich, Banda, Bareilly, Etawa, Fatehpur, Gorakhpur, Hardoi, Jhansi,Kanpur, Karvi, Lakheempur, Lucknow, Mathura, Moradabad, Raibareily, Sitapur, Sonbhaddra and Varanasi.

Kenichi Tanaka, MD, Fujifilm India, said, “This year, we intend to intensify our campaign and develop the brand image of Fujifilm digital cameras. We also aim to reinforce technical and marketing support to existing channel network so as to penetrate deeper into the Indian market.”

Fujifilm India expects the UP region to contribute around 15 to 20 percent to its national sales in the current year and plans to undertake various promotional initiatives and ramp up its branding, sales and marketing activities through above and below the line marketing activities so as to effectively get across its message to its diverse target audiences.

“The objective is to create, sustain and reinforce the brand equity by creating the right marketing mix in terms of product, price, promotion and place,” elaborated A Rajkumar, Country General Manager—DSC, Fujifilm India.

Amongst the digital cameras launched by Fujifilm is the FinePix F200EXR, which along with Fujifilm’s super CCD EXR sensor, have received outstanding critical acclaim in Europe and the USA.

“Indian consumers have always appreciated innovation and embraced new technology quite openly. This has provided us with the impetus to launch our latest products soon after its launch in the USA as and we want our Indian customers to experience and enjoy the EXR technology, which is being lauded the world over,” concluded Rajkumar.
