Unlimited HD movie downloads at Rs 1 a day on this app

CHENNAI, INDIA: Bangalore based fastfilmz has launched an HD regional movie app  for India’s film-crazy fans. The app is offering fast and unlimited Tamil movie downloads for just Rs. 30 a month.

To solve the issues of high data costs for downloads and buffering when streaming, fastfilmz has exclusively partnered with fast video compression technology provider, V-Nova for its PERSEUS Technology.

The app also provide full movie downloads at as low as 150MB data per 2.5-hours movie instead of 600MB data usage by any other apps.

The technology also enables streaming of quality video over the 2G networks.

To make the payment process easy, fastfilmz has tied up with Aircel, Airtel, Vodafone, Idea in Tamil Nadu, which will help it to deduct the subscription amount directly from talk-time balance.

fastfilmz is co-founded by Harvard and Kellogg alumni and previous employees of McKinsey & Company - Dominic Charles and Karam Malhotra. The company has been funded by multiple angel investors from the USA and Europe.

The founders have plans to add Telugu movies to the app by the end of this year.
