BANGALORE: The city police, central crime branch has raided NeoLogik, an unauthorised SAP training institute, which offered training using unlicensed SAP software.

According to a press release, the raid, second in a span of two months, is part of SAP's ongoing drive against unauthorized institutes that claim to offer students accredited training on SAP technologies. Illegal training centers use pirated software and do not meet the standards set by SAP or its partners-thereby invalidating the investment made by unsuspecting students. SAP had earlier announced its decision to intensify the crackdown on the unauthorised institutes and to take severe legal action against these institutes.

This action follows the raid carried out at the Bangalore offices of United Systems India Pvt Ltd (USIPL), an unauthorized institute providing SAP training.

SAP Indian Subcontinent, President, Alan Sedghi said, "SAP is committed to helping protect the interests of students looking for training in SAP technologies, our training partners and the IT Industry at large. It is for these reasons that we have decided to pursue strong action against these unauthorized training institutes. Working with law enforcement agencies, SAP has decided to relentlessly go after the unauthorized training institutes across India."

"SAP thanks the Bangalore Police, Government of Karnataka, for these actions and hopes to work closely with them and with other Police departments across the country in putting an end to this menace," he further added.
