UnitedLex receives certification for information security

NEW DELHI, INDIA: UnitedLex, the global leader in legal consulting, analytics and outsourcing solutions today announced that it has received the ISO/IEC 27001:2005 certification from the International Organization for Standardization (ISO).

The company has received this certification for its information security management system covering  services ranging from contract management to litigation support.

UnitedLex is one of the few companies to receive this certification for its entire operations. While offering 100 per cent data security to its customers, UnitedLex also offers a robust business continuity model with a level III disaster recovery plan.

“The ISO 27001 certification is a testament to UnitedLex’s commitment in implementing high standards in information security and maintaining a highly secure infrastructure,” said Anup Bhasin, Chief Operating Officer, UnitedLex. “We continue to remain committed to maintaining the highest standards of security – beyond the certification requirements to ensure full protection of the confidential data of our customers.”

While being audited for the certification, UnitedLex was evaluated for efficacy in the execution of information security procedures and policies to guard customers’ and the organization’s confidential information. UnitedLex was evaluated on a total of 133 controls categories covering its information security policies, organizational security measures, personnel security, etc.

ISO is the world's largest developer and creator of standards that detail universal requirements for products, processes, services, systems, and materials. ISO 27001 is the latest international standard developed exclusively for Information Security Management Systems (ISMS), requiring companies to employ a methodical approach to managing sensitive information and ensuring data security.
