UGS, TCS launch FDA Accelerator solution

TEXAS /MUMBAI: UGS Corp., a product lifecycle management (PLM) software provider, and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) today announced the launch of Teamcenter FDA Accelerator solution for the medical devices industry.

The TCS said in a press release that the solution enables it to bring its vertical solution capability to market on the industry leading PLM platform.

Teamcenter - FDA Accelerator helps to manage digital product information across the lifecycle and provides improved reliability and enhanced product quality at reduced costs. It also fulfils the FDA requirements for new product introduction.

"Teamcenter - FDA Accelerator, developed by TCS for the medical devices industry, provides our customers with an integrated out of the box solution to comply with FDA requirements," said Raj Khoshoo, vice president of strategic initiatives, UGS.

"This robust solution, which incorporates industry best practices, is a perfect example of how UGS' open strategy allows partners to add industry vertical solutions on top of our products," he added.

The Teamcenter — FDA Accelerator will be deployed through UGS direct channel as well as their partners and distributors.
