Uberall’s Web solution to boost Coke sales

PUNE: Leveraging the power of the Internet, Coca-Cola India, better known as

Hindustan Coca-Cola Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has begun implementing an

Internet-enabled sales and distribution solution for their distributors.

Uberall Solutions Ltd. is a Pune-based firm focussed on applied Internet

solutions/e-business development firm. This unique multi-tier state of the art

system, developed using Uberall components, can track outlet-wise secondary

sales across hundreds of distributors and stockists.

The system also records the sales proceeds between a distributor to a retail

outlet.

According to Uberall director Parimal Chanchani, the solution will help

Coca-Cola India to track brand/pack wise sales and stock in their supply chain

and help in a better planning and replenishing their stock.

The sales and distribution system is part of the enterprise application

integration services offered by Uberall, which is in effect a developed form of

an extended ERP system using the Internet for remote operations. Konnect-Sales

and Distribution Solution 0 as it is called is capable of handling over a

million transactions per month covering all HCCBPL product variants at each

location.

The implementation of the solution is in progress in Mumbai, Hyderabad,

Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Maharashtra and West Bengal. When the new system

is in place, the firm can cut down situations of low-stocks, to a minimum and

enhance its marketing strategies with the help of instant feedback from the

market place, he said.
