Tyco Electronics ties up with Redington

BANGALORE: Tyco Electronics' AMP NETCONNECT business unit, a provider of structured cabling solutions, today announced its alliance with Redington, distributors and service providers for IT products in India.

A Tyco press release said that this appointment is part of its strategy to retain its leadership position in the market. The alliance also facilitates the availability of Tyco's structured cabling solutions to customers in India through Redington's extensive network of resellers across the country.

Redington will leverage this alliance to increase their product portfolio and offer its channel partners an opportunity to address a new market segment.

"The structured cabling market in India is growing exponentially year on year. In order to meet the demands of this growth it is necessary for us to provide our channels with a wider field to source our products. We believe that Redington with its network of over 7000 IT resellers across geographies shall provide them the outlets that would help us retain our leadership position," said K K Shetty, country manager, AMP NETCONNECT.
