Two startups to represent India at ‘Get in the Ring’ Asia

Two start-ups, HyperVerge and Doctors’ circle have qualified to represent India at the Asia Finals of the ‘Get in the Ring’

BANGALORE, INDIA: The National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM) hosted a special international event ‘Get in the Ring’ on the sidelines of NASSCOM Product Conclave 2015 in Bangalore.

Introduced in India for the first time, ‘Get in the Ring’ gives an opportunity to start-ups to participate in a pitch battle between two start-ups. It is conducted in over a 100 countries across the world. There are five rounds, ending in a Q&A and a vote for the winner by the Champion judges and the audience.

HyperVerge and Doctors’ circle have qualified to represent India at the Asia Finals of the ‘Get in the Ring’.

In the next phase of this war, the winners from India will get a chance to participate in the Asian finals that is scheduled to be held in South Korea and during the international finals in Columbia; winners from around 10 countries will fight for the final spot.

Rajat Tandon, Vice President, NASSCOM 10 K start-up program, said “Startups need assets such as capital, talent and knowledge to survive in today’s raging environment. Globally, these resources are available in great quantity, but often don’t connect. Initiative like GITR will not only support current startups in India by facilitating them in scaling up their operations, but will also encourages more people to join the league”.

NASSCOM received applications from organizations that focus on creating a massive social impact and address issues like nutrition, food security, creating technological awareness, innovative living solutions and providing digital solutions. Other sectors are food & beverages, mobile & apps, travel & tourism, IT Services, energy, marketing & e-commerce, retailing & distribution, and charity.
