Two start-up warehouses coming up in Maharashtra

MUMBAI, INDIA: NASSCOM’s 10,000 Start-Up Program has entered into a strategic partnership with Government of Maharashtra to open start-up warehouses in Navi Mumbai and Pune.

Financially supported by the Government of Maharashtra, the warehousse will be set-up by NASSCOM in association with MIDC who will provide for physical infrastructure by providing space for IT start-ups and incubation centers at a nominal rent with all necessary amenities.

The key objectives behind the strategic partnership is to build entrepreneurial capabilities in the state, create a vibrant online community to link investors, mentors and start-up entrepreneurs, and create massive awareness about tech-entrepreneurship a preferred career option.

The program will also organize common application process in consultation with Department of Industries and MIDC to generate massive volumes of startup applications and make relevant connections to the investing community.

R. Chandrashekhar, President, NASSCOM said, “The state has always been very supportive for the new businesses with its friendly policy structure. With the new government’s focus on creating a conducive ecosystem for businesses and entrepreneurship to grow, I am sure this new warehouse will provide a platform for the young minds to breed.”
