MUMBAI, INDIA: Twitter has revamped its overall design and the irony is that it matches its rival social networking site ‘Facebook'.

Yes, the new Twitter design looks a lot like Facebook with a profile picture and a cover photo. Then we have all the feeds streaming in the centre while the trending topics and your details on the left side of the page.

The news of Twitter redesigning its overall page first floated in early February this year and now it is available for users out there. One can simply upgrade to this new design by clicking on the option given on top your profile.

Twitter says that the new features are temporarily available for a small group of users and would soon roll out for everyone, ‘starting today'.

What's new with this updated Twitter design, take a look:

- Best Tweets: Tweets that have received more engagement will appear slightly larger, so your best content is easy to find.

- Pinned Tweet: Pin one of your Tweets to the top of your page, so it's easy for your followers to see what you're all about.

- Filtered Tweets: Now you can choose which timeline to view when checking out other profiles. Select from these options: Tweets, Tweets with photos/videos, or Tweets and replies.

A lot of celebrities have already donned the new Twitter look. One can check out the profiles of actors like Channing Tatum and Zac Efron, musicians - John Legend, Weezer, and other famous personalities like, Nikos Aliagas, Michhelle Obama, and many more.
