BANGALORE, INDIA: Founder of the image-sharing service Twitpic Noah Everette announced on Wednesday the launch of a new microblogging site called Heello. The announcement comes just a day after Twitter enabled native photo-uploading feature.

As per media reports, Heello is a complete Twitter clone, which works the same way as Twitter does — updates have been limited to 140 characters, instead of tweeting users send "pings" to their followers and for re-tweeting, users "echo" other posts and instead of following, it is "listen".

Twitpic, a website started in 2008, allows users to easily post pictures to the Twitter microblogging and social media service.

Twitter prompts its users with a tag: "What's happening?", but its supposed rival Heello has tweaked it into, "Share what you're doing".

On Twitter, users can send direct messages and Heello also reportedly has such an option.

Moreover, it is said that users can send group messages to their listeners, apart from a real-time feed of all public activity.

Users are also allowed to update their Facebook and Twitter directly from Heello, suggested some reports.
